Divorce is a form of termination of marriage and divorce is the term used in courts saying that legally couple are separated and law does not permit any more to live together. By reason of various incidents, events and occurrences, when couples approach courts for divorce, after a long observation, courts will issue divorce orders. Divorce is also called as dissolution of marriage. It can be stated here that one of the most unfortunate event in one’s life is divorce because it brings down an individual emotionally, physically and financially and it takes long time for an individual to recover from the emotional loss that is caused by divorce.


In some countries, they say that divorce is a great save because once couple begin to disagree on opinions and divorce is a safe way to exit from each other’s lives. However, the law of divorce says that if couples are not agreeing or not living together with compatibility, then on verification of such other grounds, divorce can be permitted. Further divorce cancels the marital status of the parties and they are eligible to get married again. In the recent years divorce have been rising with the fact that the couple have been unhappy in relationships and divorce is an end to unhappy relationships.

The process of divorce legally, may take lot of time and specially when there are children, alimony and financial support, distribution of property to the spouse are some of the matters that are administered by courts. A divorce must always be certified by court of law and it come into effect from the date when divorce certificate is issued. The terms of divorce are determined by court. Prior to the issuance of divorce certificate, court would offer mediation service, collaborative divorce in order to enable the couple to resolve conflicts and disputes. Electronic Divorce has come into effect since March 2008 and after the divorce parties are eligible to marry again.

In countries like United States, a plan must be submitted to court by parents about their children when they are under legal separation. In some instances, parents are required to attend parenting classes before filing for divorce. Divorce is a social benefit to those who wish to stay single and away from any abuse but in case both the spouses come to a mutual understanding before the court to stay together, divorce suit is cancelled and the couple can stay together and lead a good married life.


There are basically two types of divorce. The first type is fault based divorce and the second type is no fault based divorce. On account of fault or no fault, divorce is issued by the courts. In some instances when couple argue about finances, property or about debt, the arguments, facts and faults are clearly notified. Divorce laws can easily detect where the fault is and can provide an easy remedy to the problem by way of divorce. Dissolution of a marriage can be issued even at no-fault and does not require allegations.
