Even those who are not really interested in politics are now always on the lookout for the latest news about the Obama stimulus plan particularly about the 2009 stimulus payment. From the looks of it, there would be another tax rebate check this year and this is no longer a gossip. The newly elected president Barack Obama, along with the senates and the House of Representatives, are now pushing to have a tax rebate 2009 no matter how others consider it as a very lucrative proposal.
As of the moment, the Congress is still debating about the specific details of the 2009 stimulus plan. But the 2009 stimulus refund is said to be included in the package already. With or without the 2009 stimulus check, one thing is definitely for sure. The government must start doing some actions with the Obama Stimulus plan so that the suffering economy of the United States will be saved before the economic depression gets worse.
The rate of those who are unemployed is still rising fast. And no matter what state you are in, there are still hundreds of people who were being laid off and unemployed. That is why the Obama stimulus rebate can be one of the greatest help that they can get for this year. But it is not only the unemployed who are affected by the recession. The financial pillars of America’s economy are also depending on the 2009 stimulus plan to help them out with their business as well.
And now that the government seems to have a limited fund, many are now wondering if a 2009 stimulus payment would work in boosting the economy of the country or it would only worsen the already-worse financial situation of United States.
Economists believe that instead of giving out a 2009 stimulus payment, the Obama stimulus plan must focus on creating indirect ways in helping the people in United States by creating more job opportunities, investing on infrastructures or giving tax credits to those who deserve it.
Before Barack Obama was elected as the president of the United States, he already showed support for the 2009 stimulus plan. During his candidacy, he also said that a 2009 stimulus check will be given to the taxpayers as well.
Even if the tax rebate check for 2009 is true or not, most of the Americans were perked up by hearing this news. However, many wondered and became confused when President Barack Obama gave a different approach in the stimulus plan. He actually did not followed the stimulus package or former president George W. Bush. The Obama stimulus plan is more focused in creating incentives for social education, environmental projects, financial aid to the various states, and more. These approaches are really far from what his predecessor has done. Unlike Bush, Obama was not satisfied in simply giving away a 2009 stimulus check and letting the taxpayers spend their money to boost the economy of the country. People felt that change is needed and with this step, President Barack Obama is simply proving that he would indeed bring change and hope to the country.

We seem to be sinking deeper and deeper into this recession. While we the middle to lower class citizens continue to suffer and lose the things that we hold dear, those in the upper class, along with every member of the government, are not concerned with us. They have the money to pay their bills, the money to take vacations, the money to buy food for their families. If our government would take a pay-cut and live the way we have to everyday, forcing ourselves to go to work everyday, dragging our asses along hoping that we have enough money at the end of the week to feed our families, they would move a lot faster in figuring out how to make our country more fair for all. Why is it that the rich continue to get richer and the poor continue to get poorer.
so, are we getting a stimulus check for 2009 or not
I am sick and tired of BIG business and the powerful getting help from the GOVERNMENT! WE as TAX-PAYERS deserve direct assistance also. Families need to eat and have shelter. WHY can’t the government see this instead! People are losing everything that THEY worked so hard for and still NO HELP! Enough already!

yeh i think we should have another stimulus check to help pay our bills and food for our family and to get out of debt
I am unemployed and not to far from having any income at all. Jobs are hard to find
for full time employement. I’m goinng to loose everything I have plus no place to live.

well i still dont believe,,i am 48 i was injured at work,i survive on disability,,i have been looking for a program to go back to school so i can go back to work,,i find it a crock of crap that i have worked over 25 years and i am forced to live on 685 a month with a 50 food stamp allowance,,i can not drive because i cant not afford insurance on my truck,,because if your on disability your insurance is twice as much as regular insurance,,go figure,,also i now live with my father because,he is only allowed 700 a month from social security,,for some reason when you retire with out an ira or plan they only go back 15 years to collect your social security,,what happened to the other 40 years my father worked,,where did that money go??it will take way more than stimulis payments of 250 a year to get every one on track,,how about a lesson on sacrifice to the wealthy,and government,what would they do if they had to watch a family member die,because they cant afford insurance like my mom did june 1 2007,no insurance and she suffered with cancer,only getting care when she was rushed to the hospital because she wasnt 65 and couldnt get medicare for 2 more years.come on,,they better star thinking like us the ones that need,,and file and dont qualify,,they need to hear,,,,,im sorry you have no insurance,,or im sorry you dont qualify,,,,,,or im sorry 50 dollars a month is all you get to eat with because you already get 685 dollars a month..or let them try to get put on a waiting list for housing,,or help with your electric which is only twice a year,,dont they know we get bills every month…..or better yet put one of their mothers in bed ,,watch her get down to 80 pounds,,cry in pain,,have trouble breathing but cant get her 02 because she has no insurance,,,and sign her up for plans to help cover her medications that are over 600 a month,,only to hear they dont cover pain medications,,how would they feel watching their own mother lay in the hospital taking her last breath,know you dont have insurance to bury her,,cause you couldnt afford it ,,or if you do have insurance and need assistance from any agency they make you give it up or cash it in cause you cant have it and get help……sure im proud to be an american,,wouldnt you be……..

for walt hewitt, you call social security. my 93 y/o mom called as she didnt get hers either. when the lady answered and my mom asked abt her abt the missing stimulus check, thelady said, ” huh? the what check, i dont know anything abt that. ” well mom told her and she got transferred to another person who stated, “oh, ah, i dont think we do that here, wait a minute.” the 3rd person listened to mom and took her contact info and stated she would find out if a check was sent or lost and figure out if anothe check would be generated. since my mom is a real cool gal who still does her taxes and knows the laws for that year, she is swift enough to take everyones name and time and date she spoke to them, then write what each person said. walt, call social security and see what happens to you.good luck!

There is no check. The money is in the form of a tax credit, which reduced working folks federal taxes each week. If you’re not working, you won’t see it at all. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I am now retired and don”t make enough to pay my bills. are you going to open up jobs for people like me that can not work on bridges etc.we need something else that normal people can do..us older people like to work and make sure we get the job done..but where is it..we cant build bridges.ok??we don”t make enough money on retirement(we are pushed into it)to make a living.so are we going to get a stimulis check and are you going to open up some kind of jobs we can do..it seems like we are just outcast.

A check would help everyone. a great one time check should help many and give a relief to needing families. However, we are not gonna have a stimulus this year or another year. The govnt prefer to spends billion on war in another country to help those in need except american who work every day in America.
When Is The Exact Date I Will Be Getting My Check
At Robert: There will be no check. At least no one shot deal check. The only checks you are getting are your pay check with a tax credit, which will give you a few dollars each paycheck. Needless to say this is useless but better then nothing.
