The 2010 stimulus check is set to help over 90% of Americans, but how will this affect you? The changes operated after the implementation of the stimulus have shown themselves clearly in 2009 by way of the stimulus check a high percentage of citizens have received, but its continuation in 2010 will be a bit different. The way in which the stimulus will work consists in a decrease in federal taxes, which will manifest itself through increases in average Americans’ paychecks.
But how do you know you qualify for this generalized federal tax deduction that is part of the government’s stimulus package and how should you go about receiving what the government is offering you, like a 2010 stimulus check ? First of all, in order to qualify, you must be paying social security; this means you have to be employed (or self-employed), i.e. you must be working and paying taxes. You must also make sure that your income does not exceeded the amount of $95,000 per year, or, if you are married and wish to submit a joint stimulus consideration request, then the joint income of the two applicants mustn’t exceed $190,000 per year. You must also keep in mind that certain restrictions to the federal tax cut the stimulus will grant you apply if your annual intake exceeds $75,000 or if you and your spouse’s joint annual income exceeds $150,000.
The federal tax deduction comprised in the stimulus will put in (or rather, not take out of) your pocket the sum of $400 (or for a joint application a total of $800). This is money the government normally would have taken out of your salary that you are now allowed to keep. It’s the same amount you will receive in 2009, only divided along 12 months instead of 9. This, in case you meet all the requirements and benefit from the full tax deduction. The amount of the deduction will be smaller depending on where you stand on the annual income chart. You will not be receiving a check in the mail or a check from your employer to mark the stimulus tax cut, but rather, you will be receiving an extra few dollars every month on top of what you’ve been earning so far. Those with maximal benefits from the stimulus will cash an extra $33 every month for the duration of the 2010 stimulus check thanks to the stimulus plan. That means that if you are filing for the federal tax deduction with someone else, together you will receive $66 every month.
If you are working two jobs and qualify for the federal tax cut, you will probably need to be extra careful. As it turns out, you stand to get a tax deduction on both paychecks, which means that you that you have double benefits, which unfortunately isn’t possible. Even if you are working two jobs, you only qualify for one share of the stimulus plan, which means that if you receive the something extra on your paychecks from both jobs, you will either have to notify one of your employers instructing them to desist, or you will be required to return the extra money after the end of the fiscal year.
The tax deductions that accompany the stimulus plan are meant to make it easier to navigate through the economic crisis, for the hard working Americans who find themselves having difficulty keeping up with the ever changing economic climate. While it might not seem like much on a grand scale, the federal tax deduction comprised in the 2010 stimulus check can make things a lot easier for many of those who are struggling to make ends meet.

Omg! Some of these ” working Americans” have lost their damn minds! Yes it is true And apparent that some people try to abuse the system by faking a disability but most aren’t and you “adults” that are calling the disabled “leaches”…I don’t no who raised you! Stop complaining about people that are receiving free money whether it be welfare or whatever, and just take care of you and yours. You don’t have any say-so in where your tax dollars go anyway to be honest! I learned if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all. I’m only 19 but I’m sure you older “working Americans” have at least heard that before if you weren’t taught it growing up.

I am a single mother of 2, i work part time at dollar genral , i also am attending school, may i add that bothe of my children have muscular dystrophy and only one of them were excepted on disabily what kind of since does that make when they both have the same thing, i cant work a full time job due to dr.appt and therapys and surgrys and everything eles so i can only work on the weekends so am i lazy too there are some of us doing our best did i ask to blessed with this life no would i change if i could no but there are some of us that are trying and do need help and just because your life is perfect doesnt mean you have the right to judge other people, one day you might need help then you will see where the rest of us are comeing form…………..

I wish all of you people who call the disabled greedy and lazy and talk about us as though we are all pretending to be disabled and accusing us of trying to get everthing we can for free would become disabled yourselves so you can see first hand what it is like to be UNABLE to work through no fault of your own. I think it would be quite an education for you. I, personally, started working any job I could find when I was 14 years old. I put myself through college with no help from anyone. If I could work I would but I have been disabled now for 11 years and in this economy I have been unable to find a part time job that I can do in my present state. So fuck all you all! I think you are the lazy ones, jealous because you have to work. Jealous because you in your healthy body have to get your lazy asses out of bed punch a timeclock. I would trade places with any one of you in a heartbeat. Have a little empathy. Also, I’d like to hear about any ideas you assholes might have about how you would live on the pittance people actually get on disability. I get less than a thousand dollars per month and I can’t get mainecare. This means that I have no transportation to get to needed medical appointments and physical therapy so my condition continues to worsen. What should someone like me do? Should we all just be executed? Would that make you people happy? What about frail elderly people who have to depend on social security. Is that different because they paid in to the system all their working lives? Well so did I.

People who worked before and and then became disable ” most likely due to real injury that caused unability to work anylonger, payed in the same taxes prior to becoming disabled that you do. Those people are now getting money based on what they payed in to socialsecurity at the end of every year just like you do. This is not free money it is getting back what they payed in all those years. Supplemental Security is a whole different program. This money is a based on income and needs. Most time these types of funds are given to disabled children whom may never get to work as an adult,or those who became disabled and didnt get to pay in taxes very long because of injury …physical or mental. So they can get a way smaller amount from the loving American people who still pay in taxes each year, but again this is not free money because living with some of the crud remarks the will hear through there lifes from uneducated no compassion having people that cant even relate to what its like to raise a disabled child more less have physical or mental disabilty there self. That is a job in itself. Not free money,not lazy,and for sure not sitting on your a**! SocialSecurity is a insurance policy……… And SupplementalSecurity is good hearted Americans who dont bi*ch and moan when it comes to helping others. Everyone should get some stimilus. Remember” UNITED WE STAND”!!!!!!!!!! God will not leave nor forsake us. Think about how blessed we are and all we have. God help us and thank you father………..

I am truly insulted by some of these comments! I lost my ability to walk due to and car accident that was not my fault in anyway. I just finished a 2 bought of cancer. I am 45 years old and have worked since I was 15 years old. I had to FIGHT to get my Social Security, Food stamps, medical, or anything else that was given to us. I literally had to pull my shirt down and the wig off my head to prove that I was truly sick the first time I had cancer with my daughter in her stroller. Then they were scrabbling around to give me help. I did not ask for this to happen to me and if I could work I would in a heart beat. I know that I am not the only one out there that if a job was available that they would do it. Shoot if not to just be out of my home being productive. SO shame on all of you who think that ALL of us are sitting on our FAT asses just collecting money. Tell you what!!! I will trade places with you and you then tell me how it feels to have ALL your independence take from you.. Then know that everyone that looks at you judges you as if you are asking for a hand out! Tell me how you will feed and cloth your family. Better yet think about how it might feel to have to send your child to school with nothing to eat and know that there is NOTHING that you can do about it. BECAUSE YOU CAN”T WORK and NO ONE will give you a job!!

I wandered onto this website, curious about the stimulus check. I know my husband and I got the check last year and I wanted to know if we would get one this year. I was blown away with all the nasty comments on this site! All I wanted to know is if we get the check or not?!?! Now I have to sit here and weed through all of these blogs written by people who sit on their ”high horse” and hand down judgment to others! I work my ass off and so does my husband!!! And guess what? I am STILL ON WELFARE! There is help out there for me and I WILL take it! And who are ANY of you to try and make me feel ashamed? The smoke of our torment ascends up. So when you guys try and look down on us ”lower-class” people all you see is smoke. You cant see our pain, so spare us your nasty comments. We catch enough shit as it is!!!!

Well I do work, and I was interested in the Stimulus Package for 2010, and I can read and a lot of the wording is Not in lay mens terms. So many people are just seeking clarification. I dont see where people are laying on their butts looking for free money, basically clarification on the terms and conditions of repaying the loan.

My husband works hard all day long comes home hot, tired, and filthy. I go to school full time and keep a part time job. We both work hard to keep our kids happy, clothed, clean, and feed. I don’t care what everybody thinks about the unemployed or disabled ‘gripping’ about needing an actually check, they are right! SOME of us do need it! We are so low on the income bracket right now, taxes don’t even come out of our checks! We won’t owe any either. Thats how poor we are! Thank heaven we live in America so we aren’t starving. There are plenty of programs that help us, but in would be nice to get that extra money on the paycheck. But wait! Since we aren’t taxed anyways, there is nowhere to get it from! So what about us? We are caught in the middle. We are trying to better ourselves, but its getting real hard…..

Do not worry about a “Stimulus” Check. In fact, call your elected representatives of your states and ask them what are they doing to reduces taxes. Did you know that the Iraq War cost $709 billion dollars over the course of 7 years? Did you know Obama spent $787 in the first 100 days in office? Do you see that there is no such thing as a “stimulus” it’s a way for the government to think your getting Something. If you are disabled work at Walmart or move to a country with Socializm ie: American Jr. AKA Canada, Italy, or Europe. Realize that taking from one person and giving it to someone else only creates the people receiving to want more. Welfare is broken and if you are deaf and blind Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips!!!!

We received no increase in SS me or my husband, or if we did it was eat up by the increase in medicare payouts. As far as our retirement, you gave us a lower tax to be taken out of our check but at the end of the year we had to pay more taxes due to more income. Go figure, pay me now or pay me later, either way we lose and the government still is getting more money and nothing for us. NO STIMULUS is there for the seniors.

Im stressed and dont know what and where to turn. Im was for obama but i see know change in the economy. Where and how do u get heard,but i see it may not matter at this point. my son get 640.00 from ssi but they say they over payed him and we owe over 2,000 back,what is that and think they owe me. the gov.is a butch of bull s***. get ready people crime and deaths are on the rise,im sorry to be franke.

* If you purchase a computer, it will go to India, Taiwan or China.
* If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.
* If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea.
* If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan.
* If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.
Instead, keep the money in America by:
1) Spending it at yard sales, or
2) Going to ball games, or
3) Spending it on prostitutes, or
4) Beer or
5) Tattoos.
(These are the only American businesses still operating in the U.S. )
Conclusion:
Go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that you met at a yard sale and drink beer all day!

You know, the inability to grasp the written word that is exhibited here is simply amazing. There is no check folks. I don’t understand the attitude of not wanting to work and wanting to get as much given to you as possible. We’re very low income so I understand the lean times, believe me I do. Not getting SSN because you were denied? Ummm…maybe you’re not really disabled and should get a job? Maybe you should further your education? I work from home and make a decent salary doing so, but I had to get education beyond my bachelor’s degree to do so. So in a nut shell, we have folks who do not want to have to work for wages, do not want to have to educate themselves, and then due to their lack of reading comprehension are griping about not getting a check that no one is actually getting. Reading this makes me wonder if I made a bad decision affiliating myself with the democrates. I hate that my tax money is helping people with attitudes like Manuel and others who have posted here. Oh, here’s another idea! Go to your local recruiter! Oh, thats right! It would require you actually work for money. Gooooooooood grief, people!
