Obama Plan : Yes or No ?
February 26, 2009
Just a couple of days ago, the newly elected president of United States have just signed a new bill that will start the change that the country needs. President Barack Obama already put the 2009 stimulus plan into law. But as expected, there are already a lot of economists as well as critics who think that the Obama stimulus plan will not take effect sooner than expected. There are still various points of view and opinions that are voiced out by those who do believe that the Obama Stimulus plan is not necessary. On the other hand, there are also a lot of people who believes that the 2009 stimulus plan is the start of change. They even think that the 2009 stimulus payment is the first answer to their prayers.
Vincent Burke is one of the most respected professors of political science. The professor as well as his class both believes that it can be really hard to foresee right now the results of the current Obama stimulus plan. Moreover, they also have various perspectives about the upcoming 2009 stimulus refund at the same time. However, they all agree that there is actually no certainty that the stimulus plan will be foolproof.
But even if the well-known professor believes that the current stimulus package is indeed necessary, he still thinks that there are some flaws in the program of the Obama administration. Although it does include giving people their tax rebate check and even giving non-tax payers a 2009 stimulus check, there are still not enough programs that would help the economy of the United States to rise from its current economic and financial crisis.
It is not only Professor Vincent Burke who feels that including a tax rebate 2009 is not enough. Most of the economists today also deliberate that the senates did not actually did a very excellent job in taking out all the unnecessary programs from the 2009 stimulus plan. They consider having different kinds of stimulus act rather than inserting everything in one stimulus bill.
One of the major problems that the critics see regarding the Obama Stimulus plan is not about the Obama stimulus rebate but about the loaning of vast amount of money to the various private sectors. Well, there would never be a problem if these private sectors would immediately pay up the money that they owe. The problem would rise if these private sectors would let the taxpayers pay for the money that the government lends them. If this is the case, the national debt of the United States will increase by as much as 700 billion dollars.
If most of the Americans are looking at the Obama stimulus plan as their second hope, there are still some people who think that the bill would not actually bring any good to the country.
Aside from the people who would get a 2009 stimulus check, most of the Americans would need at least two years or more before they can really feel the effect of President Obama’s mark of change.
