Stimulus schedule for check

It comes as no surprise that people are eagerly awaiting their promised stimulus check. The Internal Revenue Service will make a public announcement as to when the stimulus checks will be sent out. The initial rounds of checks are sent out around the beginning of the month and all payments will be complete within 2 months. There are online calculators on the IRS website that people can use to calculate their stimulus payments.


Stimulus payments would be made by direct deposit to people who choose to receive their previous year’s income tax refunds through direct deposit.

Everyone else will get their stimulus payments in the form of a paper check through the mail.

“To receive an economic stimulus payment, people just need to file their tax returns as they usually do, the payments will be automatic for the vast majority of taxpayers. Some lower-income workers and recipients of certain Social Security and veterans benefits who don’t normally need to file a tax return will need to do so in order to receive a stimulus payment. IRS.gov has all the information people need to help them obtain a stimulus payment.” said IRS Acting Commissioner Linda E. Stiff

Stimulus payments are sent out in the order of the last two digits of the Social Security number used on the tax return.

Since the IRS use Social Security number to determine the stimulus schedule of when checks are mailed, taxpayers and those who are entitles to stimulus payments may receive their checks at different times than their family members, friends and neighbors. In the case of a jointly filed return, the first joint holders Social Security number will be used and the mail out time will depend on this joint holder’s social security number.

The IRS is estimated to make at least about 2 -3 million of dollars worth of payments within the first three weeks after the payment schedule begins. With over 140 million households expecting to receive stimulus payments, more than 30 percent of the payments will be made within the first 3 weeks.
Taxpayers and those eligible to receive stimulus checks, which prefer the direct deposit system on their federal income tax returns can expect to receive their economic stimulus payments within the first two weeks the payments are sent out.

Taxpayers, who do not choose the direct deposit system on their tax returns, will receive paper check within the month.

The online calculator on the IRS.gov website will determine who is eligible and if they are eligible to receive an economic stimulus payment, how much they are to expect. Anyone can access and use the online calculator.

There is a series of questions that need to be answered and thereafter the calculator will automatically generate the estimated dollar value of the payment.
A few of the tax return will need additional time to process the stimulus payment amount.


There are 2 bureaus of the Treasury Department are involved in making the payments. And the IRS advises taxpayers that they can get their stimulus payments quicker by using direct deposit when they file their tax return.

    Everyone is on pins &needles awaiting to hear from this stimulus check, and no-one has tried to clarify if it is true or false.Don’t keep us in the dark after all without us yall wouldn’t have a job.

    I would like to know if there is going to be a stimulus check this year, the price of everything is going, up not just on food , but people don’t think you much they spend when you send clothes to the cleaners or wash outside of your home. Also the toiletries everything is costly and my SSI check can’t cover everything a month , cable is super high , food .clothing ,transportation, rents , you name it everything is high, and to not know if we are geting a raise in our SSI is very depressing. PLEASE WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET.

    the president was suppose to be for the poor people, well it don’t seem like it .he is taking our nmoney away from us by cutting the cost of living expence and the rich cabinet members gets a raise, will i get a stimulus check in 2010?

    it says they will be comming out in march theya re hoping sooner but i read in march it was not passed by congress yet.

    I am not sure who will get this but i need a answer,
    Last year I recieved SSI and SSDI benefits I was working part time do I get a stimulus check?
    Last time stimulus check came out –
    they sent me information in the mail. and I recieved a check
    I have not revieved anything like this this year….
    Can some one please tell me what to expect?

    hey i am a concerned citizen and asking for my parents. We are wondering if ssi recepients are going to receive a check in 2010 and if so when because our family hears rumors and haven’t heard anything from the news about it.

    last stimulus i automatically received forms in mail. im on social security. do i need to do anything to see if ill get a check for 2010.

    I am on social security disability. I was wondering if people like me will be getting a stimulus check in 2010. Especially since people on social security will not be getting a cost of living raise. I admit there are people that take advantage of social security by recieving benefits they should not be getting. This makes it harder o0n those who really do need it. And with the economy the way it is,people can barely make it on social security, The government keeps us where he wants us, under his thumb, i think they are afraid we might make something of our selves., Prices keep going up and pay stays the same. What are we supposed to do?

    I keep hearing from other people that stimulus checks are coming out in January 2010. I am on S.S.I. now if they do come out in January 2010 will, I receive one. Please let me know. Thank You Very Much, Mr. Jay Reber
